Film is making a comeback everyone! 

Let’s step into the exciting world of sustainable photography and explore eco-conscious practices that are reshaping the film revival movement. 

This is a hands-on workshop that will guide you through every step of creating stunning images with minimal environmental impact.

Learn the chemistry behind eco-friendly ingredients and brewing your own caffenol (a sustainable alternative to traditional film developers). 

Over the weeks, you’ll dive into techniques for developing and printing your photographs…

Whether you're a beginner, enthusiast or a seasoned photographer, this course offers a fresh perspective on photography that aligns creativity with sustainability.

What Level?

This class is open level. Anyone is welcome!

What does it cost?

Classes are £8 each with Course Passes available ahead of each half-term.

What should I bring?

  • Previously developed negatives (negatives will also be provided if you do not have any)

  • Clothes you aren’t too precious of, in case of any stains from caffenol! Socks if you are not comfortable barefoot.

Who's it with?

Georgie is a Leeds-living artist working in mixed media, creating zines with illustrations, photography and poems. Their work in sustainable photography has been exhibited in Bloc Projects in Sheffield in 2023 in a joint exhibition ‘Between Grounds’ with their collective Slit.
