Between the Bricks: A Collective Memory of the Wharf Street Creatives

Call for Footage & Images:
Help Us Build a Digital Archive!

The Middle Floor, Serf, and Wharf Chambers are teaming up to collect archive footage and images of artistic activity that has taken place in our building over the years. We’re creating a short film that weaves together past and present – a digital record of where we’ve been and where we are now.

Have you worked, performed, exhibited, or hosted an event here? We want to hear from you!

Whether you have footage from a gig, snapshots from an exhibition, clips from a workshop, or anything that captures the creative energy of this space, we’d love for you to share it with us.

How to submit:

  • Send digital files to betweenthebricksfilm@gmail.com Please also include your full name, date the footage was taken, the name of the event featured, who hosted the event (artists featured and venue).

  • Drop off footage in person! Sam, our filmmaker, will be at The Middle Floor on Mondays from 11am to 1pm to collect material.

Submit in via Drop-In Sessions

Drop off material in person or come and learn more about the project! Sam, our filmmaker, will be at The Middle Floor on specific Mondays from 11am to 1 pm to collect and review material. Material can take any form you like. For example, a video from your phone, a weblink, a memory you want to share, a poster you have, etc. With your permission, your contributions will either be included in or will inform a digital archive and timeline of the creative activity that has happened at Wharf Chambers, Middle Floor and Serf. This material will also make up the basis of our short film. Come along on the following dates - no need to book, just drop-in:

Monday 14th April
Monday 28th April
Monday 12th May
Monday 19th May
Monday 9th June
Monday 16th June

Why contribute?

  • Help build a permanent archive of the artists and events that have shaped our space.

  • Be part of a short film that will premiere on 29th June at Wharf Chambers.

  • Celebrate 20 years of creativity and community in the building.

This is a collective memory project.
